Pelican Crate 45L

"It's robust and has a nice industrial aesthetic. The black ABS or whatever it is has a much better appeal than aluminum or various silver you typically find with most panniers for motorcycles. It's large enough to fit my Shoei helmet, gloves, jacket, documents, and tools. It also fits my 20L duffle from wolfpak (after puttingon the gear). Which makes it perfect for commuting. Since I mounted it on the tail of my KTM 890 with a BRE mount (Back Road Equipment) the bike is no wider than it ever was and I saved about 15-20 lbs and 400$. Thank you pelican. I just wish I could get foam for the interior and a zippered organizer for the lid."

Gasket/O-Ring Problems on day 1

"The red o-ring gasket is too long. It does not seat properly in it’s channel because of this. Pelican customer service is EXCELLENT and promptly sent me a replacement O-Ring which is also too long. Upon installation It popped out immediately. i’m prepping a challenging trip to the Arctic circle and chose a Pelican because of my experience over nearly 30 years of using your products so this new case is a let down. Feel free to send me new products to test in my spare time but I'd rather not pay full price to be a beta tester while getting on the road for an excursion where failure is not an option."

Crate 45L tool box

"I’m a general contractor. I always have tools in the back of my pickup truck. I had a couple power tools that did not have toolboxes. these tools fit in the crate and there’s additional room for other things. The Crate 45L worked perfectly for my needs."
