"The origina reason for the purchase of this box was to mimic a “battle box” type setup with all of my gear, and all of the setups I kept seeing were using this size of box. I went ahead and ordered the 1650 not truly knowing the dimensions only seeing others using this size. After it came it it definitely seemed smaller than I had originally imagined but for its use case, it will be perfect sizing for the gear that I will be needing it to hold and carry. It is robust and well made just like all other Pelican cases I own and use."

Outstanding product

"I bought the pelican 1650 case to carry our racetrack cameras in. Here are the Pros and Cons Pros: There are a lot of latches to make sure the lid doesnt open by accident. The foam is easy to pull apart; the case is plenty deep enough that it holds the camera in only the top half of the box. The case has an easy-to-use handle, and the wheels roll over almost everything you would encounter in your daily travels. Cons: The weight of this case empty is quite a lot in my opinion then you add the cameras, and you almost need 2 people to pick it up. The price is a bit high, but you can shop around and find it cheaper. The latches are hard to open at times, and I dont know why. Overall, its a great product and I would highly recommend buying it. as a matter of fact, I actually I own 2 of these and getting ready to purchase a 3rd."

"Yes I am very pleased with the case. It is heavy duty and well built. I will be storing my hunting gear in it. I do wish the bottom had a little better fitted foam instead of the 1"" thick piece that is provided. Maye something 1. 5"" - 2. 0"" thick and fitted tight."
