"The fitment is just too tight for my case/rack. Even with removing the rubber pads, I struggled for quite a while getting the washer and nut onto the bolt. Maybe a longer bolt or a deeper U-shape bracket would help"

"i new this item was for a slotted roof mount system, but you would hope it could be a bit more universal. i am trying to rig it for my roof rack. it would be great if you sold more brackets styles. i just need some spacers and longer bolts."
"I was very confused while initially trying to secure cases using these mounts (one case to a Leitner rack, one to a Prinsu rack). In both instances, the mounting bracket had a roughly 1"" gap between the bottom of the bracket and the crossbar surface (not even reaching the bottom plane of the cases themselves), and nothing in the instructions indicated anything about this. I read other reviews of these mounts on Pelicans website and saw others with the same issue, and I also contacted Pelican customer support via their online support form. Its was over a week and I have received zero response from Pelican (thanks for nothing), so off I went to the hardware store to purchase metal spacers and longer bolts. Once I had the hardware that would ACTUALLY work with this design, the cases easily bolted right up to the roof cross bars. I would give this product 5 starts IF the hardware provided actually worked with the intended application AND Pelicans customer support ever followed through with my contact. But because of these issues I cant give this a good rating - especially for the cost of what is really just stamped and folded sheet metal."
"After deciding to go with the Vault V730 to put on my roof rack, I was excited to see that Pelican made a mount for it. I was really glad I would not have to drill holes into the bottom of the case in order to secure it to the rack. I’m not sure if it is because of my specific rack (made by Sherpa), but the mounts were about a half inch too short and would not reach the cross bar. I pushed down on the mount as much as I could and it still would not reach the cross bar. I ended up using spacers and buying longer bolts. This did the trick and I was eventually able to firmly secure the case. I thought I might have been sent the wrong part but I verified the part number and it matched my order. In the end it worked out and I’m happy I did not have to drill holes into the case."

"Not sure if this is a knock on pelican or a knock on ikamper, but the bolts that came with this wont fit in the roof rack system I got from ikamper. Not too big of a deal, just a couple trips to the hardware store to make something work."
